Bristol 10k Race - Sunday May 15th 2016  

Message from  Simon Cawthorn - Breast Specialist Cancer Surgeon, BUST trustee and 10k runner 

 

Dear Supporter of BUST,  

We need you to raise money for BUST for the new Breast Care Centre at Southmead Hospital.

Bust has bought new ultra-Sound  scanners and  Tomosynthesis mammogram add on software enabling mammogram detection of breast cancer more accurately. Bust's latest purchase is the Iceprobe for ablation of benign breast lumps under local anaesthetic in 15 minutes - equivalent to surgical excision without the scar and discomfort. None of this would be possible without your support - the women (and men - they get breast cancer too!) of Bristol get the best up to date care supported by BUST.

By running the Bristol 10k on 15th May 2016 and asking your friends to sponsor you we can really make a difference for the care of our patients in Bristol

Bristol 10k Race Sunday May 15th 2016  

 

Are you, your family or friends willing to RUN / or walk in aid of Bust this year? We are seeking to raise a team of at least 100 competitors to represent our charity in the event along the route through the historic harbourside and the Avon Gorge.

 

We are delighted that the Bristol Pipe and Drum Band has kindly agreed to play for us which will give BUST runners a wonderful send off.

 

We would ask each runner to pledge at least £50 for Bust. We enroll you as a member of the Hamchay Harriers Running Club run by Simon Cawthorn Breast Surgeon, who will lead the runners. Entry via the running club will give you an entrance fee of £24.00. Please complete the attached form and return it to the address shown above.

 

Those who have supported us in previous years will already have the distinctive pink tee-shirt printed with the BUST logo and the runner’s name. But if you need a tee-shirt please complete the relevant part of the attached form.
